OCTOBER 20th from 6-7pm, doors open at 5:30
Most of us don’t spend much time thinking about wills or estate planning — it can feel far away, confusing, or only for people with great wealth. But in reality, planned giving is for anyone who wants to make a lasting difference in their community and support the organizations they love — like Grandstreet Theatre.
Join us for an approachable, one-hour event designed to help demystify the process of leaving charitable gifts through your estate. Learn how you can continue to shape the future of the arts and other causes close to your heart, while also taking care of the people and priorities that matter most.
Our guest speaker, Melanie Schell, brings decades of experience in nonprofit law, philanthropy, and strategy. As Managing Principal and General Counsel for The Bannack Group, Melanie works with organizations across the country to develop mission-based solutions in strategic planning, fundraising, and governance. She previously served as COO and General Counsel for the Montana State University Alumni Foundation, helping raise over $50 million throughout her career. Melanie holds a JD from the University of Utah and a BA in Speech Communications from Montana State University, and is licensed to practice law in Montana and Minnesota.
Whether you’re just curious or ready to start planning, this is a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and explore how your legacy can help ensure the arts thrive for generations to come.
🎟️ Admission is free, but we ask you to RSVP so we can plan accordingly
