Tyler Redden is delighted to return to one of his most beloved roles for his third Christmas Carol! Some of his past credits include Enjolras (Les Misérables), Harry Wormwood (Matilda), and Henry (The Book of Will). Offstage, he works for the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and owns Red N Solutions. Tyler has also appeared with the Improv Mining Company and in a range of commercial and film projects. “Thank you to my wife, Leslie—you bring out the best in me, and I’m honored to live alongside you. Alvaro Freyre (Jacob Marley, Fezziwig, Old Joe) was born in Cuba, raised in Louisiana and Wyoming, worked in the Silicon Valley and is blissfully retired in Helena. He studied at Tulane, Le Conservatoire Superieur d’Art Dramatique, and as a Lauder Fellow at the Wharton School. Previous GST credits include Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady, Harold Nichols in The Full Monty, John Hemminges in The Book of Will and Daddy Murphy in Bright Star. He is co-chair of the Grandstreet Act II capital campaign. He adores Maggie, Mariel and Christian, and is deeply grateful to the Grandstreet community for creating a safe place to be one’s self.

Mackenzie Jones (Ghost of Christmas Past / Emily Cratchet) is originally from Kansas City, MO and has lived in Helena since 2019. Mackenzie works at DPHHS on the Montana Disability and Health Program. Most recently she has been seen as Annabel Glick, the dog lady, in LUCKY STIFF. Other roles include Miss Honey in MATILDA THE MUSICAL, Miss Casewell in THE MOUSETRAP, and Lucy Grant in BRIGHT STAR. Mackenzie is grateful to reprise her roles in this newly imagined holiday classic with a cast and production team that keep on giving. Hailey is thrilled to be joining this beautiful, magical Helena tradition, and is so grateful to be a part of this landmark 50th season! This is her 4th Grandstreet production, following Newsies, Moriarty, and Lucky Stiff. Most recently, she played Chickadee in Red Ink Players’ Fiddlers Fatal Tune. She would like to thank her husband, Dawes, for being so supportive and for being an awesome dad to their daughter, Maisie.

Molly has been involved in Grandstreet onstage and behind the scenes since 2016. This is Molly’s second year performing in A Christmas Carol. She has been seen in My Fair Lady and Billy Elliott, along with Jeff Downing’s own “A Real Boy”. Molly enjoys working especially with the community’s talented youth and has choreographed the recent productions of Junie B. Jones Jr. and Matilda. Molly shares a special moment this year with her son Sparks, who is making his debut in Frozen while Molly is onstage tonight! Thank you for supporting community art making in Helena!

After more than two decades, Katy Wright is proud to call Helena home. Katy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Middlebury College, a Master’s Degree in Montessori Education from St. Catherine University, and is currently working on her doctorate in Montessori education at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Katy has enjoyed teaching with Helena Public Schools during the day and participating with Helena’s arts community in the evenings and summers. She has been in multiple productions with Grandstreet Theatre, Helena Theatre Company, Last Chance New Play Fest, Carroll College, and the Helena Symphony. Some of Katy’s favorite GST roles include Fantine in Les Miserables, Becca in Rabbit Hole, and Mrs. Hubbard in Murder On the Orient Express. Over the years, Katy has sung with In Cahoots, Macho Band, Big Soul Band, Helena Chamber Singers, and the Symphony Chorale. Katy is also a founding member of Improv Mining Company and a sometimes-annual sketch comedy show for educators. Katy thanks her husband, Scrooge, oops Scott, and all 6 of their kids for their love and comedy.

Molly Severtson enjoyed theater in high school (playing Dolly in Hello, Dolly! and Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web) and after college with Missoula Children’s/Community Theatre (in the choruses of Brigadoon and How to Succeed…), and then returned to the stage in 2023 in Grandstreet’s production of Bright Star. Since then she has performed in the concert version of She Loves Me, the last two productions of A Christmas Carol, and Lucky Stiff. She’s excited to perform next month in Grandstreet’s 50th Anniversary Concert and this spring in Secret Garden. Molly works as a real-life charity worker for a program called Little Peeps, which provide eye exams and glasses to kids in need, and she serves on the board of the Friendship Center. All three of her amazing daughters graduated from college last spring and she is enjoying her empty nest with her husband of nearly 30 years, Eric, to whom she dedicates this performance.

Mitch Hoffman grew up in a mountain town in Colorado before finding community here in Helena. Currently, he works as a hydrologist and can typically be found outside hiking or cutting up a rug on the dance floor. Mitch is so exciting to be returning for his third year in A Christmas Carol. He has been in awe of the other cast members, the director, and all of the incredible behind the scene crew who have worked tirelessly on this production. This is Mitch’s only role at Grandstreet.

Madelyn Sechrist is excited to return to Grandstreet Theatre, following her debut as Ensemble in Lucky Stiff. Outside of GST, you can find Madelyn performing puppetry with Puppet Puppet Slam Slam at Carroll College, or catch her directorial work as assistant drama coach at Helena High School — previously directed credits include Cut (2024), The Importance of Being Earnest (2025), and The Game’s Afoot (2025). Dawson Renck is making his debut in theatre in his first role EVER as Tiny Tim. He is very excited to share this experience with you. Evelyn LaChere Sorensen is a 10 year old 4th grade student in Helena Montana. She has attended Grandstreet Theatre School since kindergarten. Previous Grandstreet credits include Small Alice in Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. and Michael Banks in Disney’s Mary Poppins. Evelyn enjoys acting, singing and dancing, in addition to watching live theatre. She extends her gratitude to both her immediate family and her extended theatre family for their unwavering support.
