Finding Nemo JR auditions
March 18 - 19, 2024
Seeking young actors between 9 – 19

Grandstreet Theatre is seeking young actors between 9 – 19 for Finding Nemo JR, performing May 31 – June 9, 2024. We welcome actors of all ethnicities, abilities and disabilities, and gender identities to come and join the fun in auditioning as long as you are between the ages of 9 and 19 as of March 21, 2024. You do not need to be enrolled in Grandstreet Theatre School to audition.

This will be a cast of 30-35 actors who will play multiple roles. We especially encourage kids with disabilities to give the audition a try. On the audition form you will find a spot to let us know how we can help you have your best audition. If you require an interpreter for the audition, please contact Marianne at Marianne@grandstreettheatre.com as soon as possible.

  • Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday from 6:30-9:00 p.m. beginning April 1st
  • Performance dates are  May 31-June 9, 2024
  • Auditions are March 18 &  19, 2024
  • Callbacks will be March 20, 2024 (not everyone will be called back for another audition)

Audition Information

Location: Grandstreet Studio, 328 N. Fuller Ave

Date: March 18th or 19th.

To audition:

  1. Sign up for an audition slot – Sign up for only one time slot. Do not sign up for more than one. If you are unable to sign up using the form, please contact Marianne at marianne@grandstreettheatre.com or 406-442-4270.
  2. Complete this audition form here. Please include all potential conflicts before your audition on March 18th or 19th.
  3. Prepare your audition material. Information about what to prepare is below.

 

What To Prepare

You can choose one of the following songs for your audition ( no matter which role you are interested in). You will not get to sing the entire song.

  • Any Role – The Prologue (Measures 6-19)
  • Nemo – Big Blue World (Part 2) (Measures 1-26)
  • Marlin – Big Blue Words (Part 2) (Measures 45-61)
  • Bruce/Sharks – Fish Are Friends Not Food (Measures 6-28)
  • Dory – Just Keep Swimming (Measures 39-54)
  • Crush – Go With The Flow (Measures 21-54)

Non-verbal actors may choose their favorite song from here or anywhere and we will have you move to the beat of the song.

All actors should come prepared to move, to be brave, and to have fun!

Venue Accessibility Information:

Grandstreet Theatre has step-free access from N Park Ave to the theatre auditorium, from Lawrence St to the classroom/dressing rooms, and from Fuller Ave to our rehearsal studio. Handicapped parking is available in front of the theatre.

The stage is accessible from the auditorium and classroom by a lift which connects the basement, audience seating level, and stage level.
