The Pink Unicorn is an award-winning solo theatre piece that tells the story of a single mother, living in a small Texas town, whose life is thrown into turmoil when her teenage daughter announces she is gender queer.  The audience is brought along on the mother’s hilarious and heartfelt journey of acceptance as she joins her child’s fight to start a chapter of the Gay and Straight Alliance at the local high school.

Grandstreet’s production will be an exciting opportunity to simultaneously offer live performances at the theater alongside digital performances online.  And with a different actress playing the role on different nights, you may want to see this play more than once!

A short and sweet theatrical experience, The Pink Unicorn will be presented as a staged reading with a reduced ticket price!  Join us as we embark on new ways of theatrical storytelling that are better suited to our current health restrictions.

We are continuing to adapt to the ever evolving realities of the coronavirus pandemic. Live performances will be socially distanced and will require masks on all in attendance (including performers). If you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive and/or are experiencing symptoms related to Covid-19 please do not attend the theatre.
