Grandstreet Summer Theatre in Helena, Montana is seeking non-union actors for our summer musical theatre productions of Newsies and Little Shop of Horrors.
Each summer, Grandstreet Theatre welcomes talented theatre professionals from our local community and across the country to come to beautiful Helena, MT and join us for two musical theatre productions and our annual two-week Summer Theatre School. Performances take place in our 200-seat theatre in Downtown Helena, and actors in the productions also serve in teaching positions in our summer camp.
This year, Grandstreet Theatre will be presenting Newsies and Little Shop of Horrors.
The company of Newsies will include paid summer stock actors, students from the Summer Conservatory, and community volunteers. Little Shop of Horrors will be an all adult company. We are currently seeking audition submissions for summer stock actors, conservatory students (Newsies only), and community volunteers.
We encourage performers of all ethnicities and gender identities, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit an audition. We have listed race/ethnicity when it is specific for the character, but in all other cases, we seek actors representing the diversity of the global community. Gender non-conforming, non-binary, and transgender actors are welcome to submit for any roles they identify with.
