Phil Bartruff enjoys any and every opportunity to be involved with GST. Most recently Phil played the role of Charlie in The Bridges of Madison County. He was stage manager for Willy Wonka, GST’s 2018 Christmas show. Phil has recently performed in Tarzan and Newsies as well. Cullen Blaise a recent graduate of Grandstreet Theatre School is loving every second of this summer His favorite role (so far) has been Dennis from All Shook Up! Other shows include: Footloose Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Book of Will. He’s looking forward to a great summer season, where everybody can “Cut Footloose!”
Mary Boespflug is thrilled to be back at Grandstreet! She just graduated from the University of Montana with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. At UM she performed as Heather in American Idiot and as The Proprietor in Assassins. Mary would like to thank her mom for always letting her pursue her dreams. “I know I can always count on you for endless support and love. I love you to the moon and back, Baba!”
Molly Brandt is a born and raised Helenan, currently gearing up for her Senior year at Capital High. This year, Molly returned after a six-year hiatus from Grandstreet, appearing in Treasure Island as Lucky Micky and re-enrolling in the Grandstreet Theatre School. Previously, Molly was seen as a fairy in Peter Pan, and as the orphan July in Annie. She is elated to be back to acting, and hopes to pursue film and music in college.
Keelin Connolly a rising high school Junior, is so excited for her second summer at Grandstreet! Favorite past performances include Red Ruth/Mrs. Crossley in Treasure Island, ensemble in Mamma Mia!, and Macy’s Dancer in Elf Jr. Keelin would like to thank her family (GST and biological), her crazy friends, and Torrey for keeping her sane.
Meghan Hanrahan is a recent Carroll College graduate who is thrilled to be back at Grandstreet! This is her third production with the theater, her previous roles being Owl Regina in Wildwood and Bunsen in Newsies. Additional roles include Officer Lockstock (Urinetown: The Musical), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), and Leaf Coneybear (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). Meghan would like to thank her friends and family for their constant love and support.
Elsie Harrington is elated to be a part of another Grandstreet summer! A junior at HHS, she’s involved at Grandstreet by taking classes, volunteering with the student advisory board, and assistant teaching the 4th and 5th grade “48 Hours to Curtain” class. Previous credits include Treasure Island (Israel Hands), Newsies (Mike/Bowery Beauty), and The Lion King Jr. (Nala). Thank you for supporting our theatre!
Ella “Oak” House is excited to be returning to summer Grandstreet in Sister Act. Her previous shows include Tarzan, Newsies and Treasure Island. Ella has found her home at Grandstreet, and she would like to thank the Grandstreet community, her Mom, her amazing and supportive friends and RJ for supporting her and always pushing her forward.
Rick Johnson calls GST his ‘second home’. For the past 22 years, Rick has been involved with some aspect of the theatre, either backstage, production, front of the house, working with the youth, and on stage performing in some of his favorite productions; Boys Next Door, Sweeney Todd, Oklahoma (twice), Into the Woods (twice), Les Mis, Billy Elliot, Elf Jr., Cry Baby and most recently Momma Mia. Rick would like to thank the staff of GST, and all the volunteers who make GST a magical place for all.
Kate Loble is thrilled to be working with Grandstreet again for her 5th summer stock show in a row! Every time Kate comes back to the theatre for a show she is reminded of all the wonderful people who have helped her become who she is today. Whether it was being ensemble during Oklahoma! or playing Pumbaa in The Lion King, Kate has learned something new from fellow actors that will help her in years to come. In her free time, Kate enjoys cracking jokes, enjoying the outdoors and creating memories with friends.
Jaquay Lundy born in Pennsylvania, she is a singer/song writer who has various movie and soundtrack credits. She attended West Chester University, where she chose to major in Musical Theatre. It was there that she played the role of Bettina in The Honorable Maid. She is elated and looks forward to bringing the role of Deloris to life at Grandstreet Theatre.
Jessie Maye hails from Raleigh, NC and is a proud alum of Ball State University. Some of her recent credits include Ariel (Footloose)Medium Allison (Fun Home), Penny (Hairspray), Connie (A Chorus Line), and Lenora Frigid (Cry-Baby!). Jessie is so grateful to be back in beautiful Helena with her GST family. She would like to thank her mom, sister, and sweet Noah for their endless love and support.
Jodi Mattson has a Masters Degree in Music Education, has taught in Helena Public Schools, Carroll College, and currently teaches voice in Helena. She has been performing, musically directing, painting, sewing, and supporting Grandstreet productions since 1977, beginning with Brigadoon(Fiona). Most recently, Cry-Baby(Mrs. Cordelia Vernon-Williams). She also loves musically directing theatre school productions, most recently, Honk Jr. at Junior Theater Festival 2019. Jodi is honored to be a “lifer” at Grandstreet, and thrilled to work with this talented cast, and director! Thanks also to her hubby, kids, and grandkids for love and support!
Molly McGree is thrilled to be in her first summer show at Grandstreet. She has been seen flying around as a flying monkey in The Wizard of Oz or an Oompa Loompa In Willy Wonka. She would like to thank anyone who has helped her in theater, especially her family and friends for supporting her in this passion.
Rubén Meléndez Ortizis an actor from Caracas, Venezuela. Rubén is going to be senior at the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt University pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Rubén’s recent theatre credits include: Anything Goes(Billy Crocker), The View UpStairs(Freddy), Pirates of Penzance(Sergeant of Police), Rent(Angel). Ben Misplon just graduated from Western Illinois University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. He is happy to return to the Grandstreet stage before moving to St Louis in the fall. Gabriel Murphy is beyond grateful to be back at Grandstreet for his 7th summer season, his first being way back in 2008! Gabriel trained with Webster Conservatory and the British American Drama Academy and lives in Minneapolis. Gabriel has worked with the Kentucky Repertory Theatre, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Jungle Theatre, Park Square Theatre, and Theater Latte Da, among others. Sealey Raymond is excited to be back on Grandstreets stage for her eighteenth show here! Her most recent roles were Mrs. Beauregard in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and an ensemble member in Mamma Mia! Sealey will be headed to Seattle next year to study as a pre-med major and a theatre minor. She has been involved with GST since she was 5 years old and is excited to be in such a powerful show. Natalie Renk is a Junior at Capital High School. She has a passion for performing and some of her favorite roles include Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka and Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof. she would like to thank her family, friends, and the theatre community for inspiring her to continue to fulfill her wildest dreams.
Brodrick Ryans is from Tuscaloosa, AL but currently living in Portland, OR. Some of his past credits include; Oscar Delancey in Newsies, Carmen Ghia in The Producers, Mitch In Spelling Bee, Dreamgirls and The Wiz. Carlton Ryker is ready to rock out on the Grandstreet stage once again! Born and raised in Wichita, KS, Carlton moved to Helena, MT shortly after appearing on the Grandstreet Theatre stage last summer in Mamma Mia (Bill), and Newsies (Snyder). Since then he has been heavily involved with the Grandstreet stage appearing in the productions of Silent Sky (Peter), and most recently, Bridges of Madison County (Bud). Other past credits include shows such as Little Shop of Horrors (The Dentist), Jane Eyre (Rochester), Into the Woods (The Baker), Sister Act (Joey). (John 3:30)
Reese Sheldahl originally from New Hampshire, Reese is going into his last year of high school at Capital High. Past experience with theatre involves Figaro, Treasure Island, and “Moon over Buffalo. He is quite thankful for this opportunity to work with Grandstreet again and owes his gratitude to Louis, Michelle, Jaymie, and Brayko.
Presley Wilson is a junior at The Professional Performing Arts High School in New York. She just finished her third Off-Broadway show as Morticia in The Addams Family, previously playing The Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Gilmer in Godspell. She also studies at A Class Act NY and Broadway Artists Alliance. Presley, originally from Helena, is thrilled to be back on the Grandstreet stage. Presley thanks her family, friends, and manager, Henry Ravello of 6DWE.
Katy Wright is a public Montessori teacher at Smith Elementary School. She loves educational policy work and hopes to be Nationally Board Certified and achieve her doctorate in the next several years. Grandstreet is her family’s second home and keeps her on her toes emotionally, physically, and vocally, as you may have witnessed in Mamma Mia, Rabbit Hole, and Les Mis. Katy would like to thank her love, Scott, and their blended bunch for making life like the funniest and most fun improv show ever.
Marc Vincent is a candidate for B.M. in Music Direction for Musical Theatre at Webster University. Originally from the New York Metropolitan Area, Marc now resides in St. Louis, Missouri. His recent professional credits include Be More Chill at New Line Theatre and Aida at Stagedoor Manor. Marc also works regionally as a church organist, accompanist, and vocal coach. He is thrilled to be making his Grandstreet Theatre debut!
Lysa Fox returns to her Helena summer home for year #12! Lysa is the Head of Musical Theatre at Western Illinois University where she directed productions of Working and Pippin this past school year. She’s just arrived from directing and choreographing Grease! at Tent Theatre in Springfield, MO. This year, she will be directing productions of First Date, The Spitfire Grill, and Damn Yankees in Illinois and Indiana. Favorite Grandstreet productions include: Falsettos, Ragtime, Hairspray, Into the Woods, Always, Patsy Cline and last years’ Mamma Mia!
Aaron Lloyd Pomeroy is a dancer and choreographer originally from San Diego, California, and is thrilled to be back in Montana after choreographing last summer’s Newsiesand Mamma Mia. Some of Aaron’s favorite performance credits include Spamalot, Funny Girl, Oklahoma, Phantom, 42nd Street, Never Gonna Dance, Beauty and the Beast and On Your Toes. Aaron was also a company member with The San Diego Ballet, performing as a soloist, and danced across America with The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. A dance competition choreographer, master class instructor and adjudicator, Aaron currently is on faculty at Oklahoma City University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater from San Diego State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.
Jadyn Velazquez is a scenic designer, currently living in Missoula, MT, where she received her MFA in scenic design from the University of Montana. Her interest in design, started with scenic painting and branched out into ornamental metal work and has merged into shadow boxes, window displays, and painting. Some past productions include Anything Goes @ Lyric Arts, MN, Play On, In Stiches, Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinty Victory Church, and Best Christmas Pageant Ever @ The Phipps, WI, and White Christmas @The Stage at Island Park, ND,and Mamma Mia and Newsies @ Grandstreet Theatre, MT
