About the instructor:

4152_91161230675_1464619_nKal began his theatre career at Grandstreet when he was five years old and learned pretty much everything he knows from Theatre School. A proud recipient of Grandstreet’s illustrious Wib and Esther M. Harrer Memorial Scholarship, Kal went on to The University of Idaho for a BFA in Acting. He received his MFA from The Ohio State University in Acting and the Creation of New Work. Kal has acted professionally in film, television, Off-Broadway and in many regional theatres around the country including three years at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival where he earned his Actor’s Equity card. Kal joined the Ohio State Theatre Department faculty in 2009 and spent three years teaching undergraduate acting before returning to Montana in 2012 to take the Managing Director role at Grandstreet.

Kal’s training is Stanislavsky based and features teaching methods from Michael Chekhov, Robert Cohen and Isobel Kirk.
