ABOUT THE SHOW

This funny, sweet, and delightfully good natured play has been an audience favorite for 25 years.

Set in a small southern beauty parlor with a colorful cast of gossips, the play is alternately hilarious and touching.  Truvy’s beauty salon is where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done.  Helped by her eager new assistant Annelle, the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser, an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, and the local social leader, M’Lynn, whose daughter Shelby is about to get married.  Filled with hilarious repartee which gives the play, and it’s characters, the special quality to make them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company.
