Winner of 4 Tony Awards and 5 Drama Desk Awards, this musical adaptation of E.L. Doctorow’s novel Ragtime tells the story of three groups in America at the turn of the century. A Harlem musician, a matriarch of a white upper-class family in New Rochelle and a Latvian Jewish immigrant all hope for a better future in this era rich with historical figures such as Harry Houdini, J.P. Morgan, Henry Ford and Emma Goldman.
