About The Show
Winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Fun Home is a refreshingly honest musical about the graphic novelist Alison Bechdel, and the story of her father; the volatile, brilliant one of a kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. The beautiful and compelling score made history when Tesori and Kron became the first female writing team to win the Tony Award for Best Original Score. This brave new musical explores Alison’s growing understanding of her own sexuality as well as looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is an enthralling story about seeing your parents through grown up eyes. Fun Home will be directed by Rosie Seitz Ayers.
